hoolllllllldddddddd on wait a minute let me put some funk in it.

ok the axel back and catback are not 2 different designs. The straight muffler in the pic in the first page is a axel back. Any muffler that connects to your mid pipe and that doesnt bring its own mid pipe is a axel back, hence the name axel back cause it connects right behind the rear axel. Im not sure what the name is for the curved and uncurved designs. I think that the bend in the injen/fireball designs provides for a deeper tone and acts sorta like a resonator. Deeper tones are created when the exhaust note has something to bounce off of, so a straight through exhaust would most likley have alot more rasp sound to it .

I also think that weight is a factor when choosing an exhaust, when I replaced my exhaust I noticed that the stock axel back alone weighed atleast 40 lbs!! The axel back I was installing weighed prolly 15 lbs at the most. Same thing for headers, the stock ones weighed like 30 lbs! the ones I installed weighed like 10. You wanna try to shed weight on the tc, its pretty damn heavy for a 2 door.

Just have one custom made. They are pretty straight forward to remove and replicate. Be sure to add a quality resonator.
