    Default What about these headers??

Hey guys, I was just searching around ebay and I ran across this set of headers w/ s-pipe included!! I was just wondering, because I've read some guys say that megan had bad quality, etc. So could anyone be able to tell just from the pics or what... would it need to be on for a while to be able to make that call. I dunno, this is a really good deal, however, I do know you get what you pay for!

I know that the weapon r header w/ s-pipe set is pretty expensive, but I know that some places have a CEL included with it. My question on this is, on the weapon r set is there already pre drilled hole or whatever and ready to go...pop in the cel and it's good. Or would I have to drill a hole in the weapon r set and install it like I would have to with all other sets.

Seems like a deal I might not be able to pass up so I'm looking for some feed back. Thanks guys...

EDIT: Sorry I forgot to add the link, lol...

ok those headers do not include the S pipe, that stuff down at the bottom is mounting brackets to mount to your engine. Those are just like megan headers. Personally I dont like em and theyre pretty pricey for some knock offs. Check these out and see if you like em any better, way cheaper and better quality IMO. I own them and can tell ya theyre good and will be alot easier to install than the other ones seeing you dont have to bolt em to the engine.

    Heres the Black ones

eBay Motors: 04-07 Scion TC Black Ceramic Performance Header 05 06 (item 290241643914 end time Jul-03-08 12:21:37 PDT)

    Heres the Silver ones

eBay Motors: 04-07 Scion TC Silver Ceramic Performance Header 05 06 (item 300237084818 end time Jul-03-08 18:16:34 PDT)

both are the same just different color. Im starting to notice that all these company that are selling all theyre products over priced really arent even worth it. I mean come on for 80 bux these headers are great, real heavy duty ****. Hell of alot of power around 45-85 mph. If you couple em up with a good exhaust you will be hauling ass!

No, the link I provided for the ebay sale does have an s-pipe. At least I think it does. The title says headers downpipe and when you scroll down it gives you a description of the downpipe and shows pictures. However the main picture does not show them.

    Product Description

    Opinions......

EDIT: Also I noticed these are only 4-1 headers, and I read that everyone says that 4-2-1 is what I'm looking for. Is there really that much of a difference??

I dont think that they make any 4-2-1 headers for our cars. I think that was a misconeption and everyone just keeps repeating the mistake.

Weapon-R is a 4-2-1 Header. They are the only 4-2-1 you can buy. I highly recommend, and those are the only headers I will recommend.

The weapon R headers eliminate the cat in the headers. We also have another cat where it normally is, after the s pipe. An you will pas inspection as long as you dont have a C.E.L. I'm not sure about Cali tho.

Well from what I understand there are 2 cats on our car, one being in the downpipe, and one in the mid-pipe. And as far as I know you only need ONE to be street legal. The preferred one to keep is the one in the mid pipe, which you can also REPLACE with a high flowing cat such as a magnaflow one for the increased performance of going from 2 cats, to deleting one and improving the second one.

The high flow cat will KEEP your car street legal and pass emissions, that's what I plan on doing if what I believe to be true is true.

Sorry that I don't know too much, you should look into what I said a little deeper to check the validity of it. Maybe someone on here might answer both of our question... lol j/k.

WHOA... The reason why you "really don't see what my problem is", is because I DON'T have one. You answered his question like 3 MINUTES before I posted, I must have been typing while you posted... so YOU calm down. I said I was just kidding. YOU are in NO position to be telling ANYONE to "get off these forums".

All I said is, "I wish I would have gotten a little more in-depth help" on the multi part questions I asked. And the best you come up with is...

So please don't turn this into a back and forth arguing type of thing. That's not what I joined the forums for...

I just checked with my friends dad who owns a station and does inspections. For nj as long as all your exhaust goes through the cat in the mid pipe. You don't have to have the first cat. So I can get the weapon r headers then.

Anyone have experience with the fuel economy with the headers?

everyone please.... the arguing isnt worth it... there is a stickied thread on headers... it'll probably answer all of your questions! CEL, cats, s-pipes, 4-1 vs 4-2-1 (i know that's in there - it does make a difference), and all the brands. http://www.club-tc.com/forums/perfor...e-headers.html

before you guys ask questions, read the stickied threads and some of the other recent ones. im all for conversation, but not for repeating topics.

this is probably the friendliest tC forum, lets keep it that way, please

(you get what you pay for bears repeating over and over again. espeically with engine mods - sorry)

It will hurt your fuel economy a little, but i only had them on for a little more than a week before I got supercharged. And really you done even need a Cat. At least in DE. Because when I get my car inspected the just checked to see if I had a CEL. And realistically You wont need inspection for like 5 years because your car is brand new correct?

Hey, whe you do the CEL eliminator with the MMW headers, do you have to do the O2 sensor on the S-pipe too? I know the First one will throw the CEL, but will the second one throu it too?
