as far as the cams, i dont think anyone here has the brian crower oners yet... im sure navylife59 is getting them (probably as we speak) and a couple others here have expressed interest. they are literally fresh out of the box. i forget the price ($700?). and i think those are the only ones for our cars now.

as for the headers, i haent seen anyone here with the ones you're referring to. but the best reviewed (via word of mouth of course) is weapon-r (4-2-1 style and includes s-pipe - hence the price) Weapon R Race Header 05-07 Scion TC Free Shipping followed by dc sports (which is debated whether it's a true 4-2-1) DC Sports 4-2-1 Race Header Scion TC Free Shipping.

speaking of reviews. gotta talk to the administrators to get a product review section since we get a lot of "whaddya think of these" questions...

lookin up the jvt and hur reveals at least one obvious difference from dc and weapon-r --- price tag.

a significant price difference always concerns me cuz i wonder about the quality of material and how long it will last. and how much research and testing have they actually done?

you could call the companies and ask questions about that stuff. call weapon-r and dc and compare thier answers to jvt and hur. or try to find tC's with dyno sheets with these parts. to be sure you're getting your money's worth and not wasting it on a bad product, that's what i'd do.

my friend put the brian crower cams in his car. His engine is still out of his car because he is waiting on the new pistons to come in because he is doing a total engine rebuild (he needs it to hold 32 psi.) The only other cams i know of for our car are Ripp Mods. Havent really heard anything bad about them, but nothing great either. Do some research.

im from jacksonville florida ....but yeaa i have heard of auto turbo tc's gaining 100 whp just like the regualr kits but the only thing im worried about is how efficent its really gonna be through an automatic as far as how much of a differenc you can really see through the gears cause in an auto you cant really spool the turbo up so idk i might try it but for now im just gonna go with all motor i should easily pick up 75-100 whp with what im about to do. but what are you working on with your tc?

who says you cant spool up a turbo?
I can launch just as well as an above average 5 speed driver. Slam you foot on the break. Then choose your rpm's, and let off the break and gun it.

working on paying off my tC and some other important bills, but im going all out with a turbo (i have an 06 5 spd). probably gonna get the DEZOD T.E.A. kit. (Dezod Motorsports. Dezod Motorsports T.E.A. Turbo System-tC 05-08 5 Speed Only) i've gotten the chance to experience boost in a few cars (both stick and auto) and boost is beautiful!

in addition to boost i got a two page list of things for my car that i plan on keeping forever!

So youre goin with a turbo. Good job and congrats. I would call Phil (i think thats his name) at Dezod and tell him everything you want. Instead of getting the regular turbo that comes with the kit (I think its a turbonetics) I would get a gerrett. Thats just me tho. Good luck with everything.

Thumbs up

thanks. it's still some months away, but with my new job starting mid aug, it's definitely happening within the next year. i definitely wanna do it right and research the whole thing and become an expert on boost.

probably gonna start a thread of my car soon to chart the progress.

two step... two step... is that the thing that allows you to set the rev limiter to whatever you want to get a good launch? that's serious!

BC has got the cams and other motor goodies. These are the real deal and not regrinds that have popped up here and there. Read the sticky in this forum.
