having a startup problem

This is a discussion on having a startup problem within the Engine Performance forums, part of the Scion tC category; Well this only happens like every other day but i work night shift.. So at night some days its cold ...

    Default having a startup problem

    Well this only happens like every other day but i work night shift.. So at night some days its cold like 40 degrees.. And when i got to start my tc its a standard, it starts and shuts right off.. Then i go to start it again and its good and stays on, this has me worried tho, what could it be???

    My 2007 Camry does this sometimes. Never heard of any Scion's doing this. My tC has always had a long start cycle caused by the Engine Immobilizer.

    I suspect that your problem may be either the MAF (temp sensor) or the idle control circuit. Have you modded the intake or exhaust? Best to take it back to the Dealership.
