    Default Header Help

I currently have the TRD CAI, Invidia S-pipe, Megan Midpipe with a 30" magnaflow resonator replacing one of the two the pipe came with, and the TRD Axleback.

Ive been looking for headers and I like the MMW Header but i also like the Megan. Which do you think is best for my setup? I understand that the MMW header comes with an S-pipe when I already have one but I figure ill just end up selling that one if I go that road.

And I've been looking for sound clips and dyno sheets of people who might have close to the same setup as me so if anyone can find any that would help alot too.

    Thx

sell the s-pipe and order the WR 4-2-1 header. Better performance and longer lasting looks than those other.

Yep, the only thing that I have heard from Megan that anyone cared for was their Drift-Spec axle-back. I guess that it is made in North Korea or something. All other Megan products are fit to be sold on E-Pray.

While we are at it, here is a list of other items to avoid.

    * Stay away from Nology wires. They don't do anything and actually will ruin your coilpacks.
    * Never buy a used (no longer being made) ZPI Turbo or you'll get a
    cracked manifold.
    * Anything that creates an airscrew or a tornado in your intake only makes you a sucker.
    * Axis Wheels are made in China and have too wide of an offset on their wider wheels to keep the tires from rubbing with normal size tires. They also are painted (not powercoated) only on the front.
    * The Greddy front Strutbar looks great but mounts poorly. It also gets in the way of changing spark plugs.
    * Rear strut bars are a complete waste of money. The rear strut towers are already connected, very strongly. A C-pillar bar would be more beneficial but the current ones are obtrusive to back seat passengers.
    * Be aware of products that just so happens to fit a tC and not exactly made for a tC. These are called "universal" and they come with "universal" problems.
    * Air Divertors are just for looks on the tC with OEM hood. It has already got one simply by the design of the radiator cowl structure.
    * Stock radios jam. Don't replace it simply because it is not and aftermarket headunit.
    * Don't spend the money on the Scion Alarm. It does little to the factory keyless entry. Your better to go with a full-blown alarm. Note: It would be useful to have the harness from this kit so that you don't have to cut into your factory harness.
    * Only get LED mods from established people whom have experience and street cred.
    * OEM LED underdash lighting is nice but save your money and do it yourself with LEDS from Autozone or the Internet.
    * You don't need to change the clutch if you aren't pushing well over 240WHP.
    * Better to upgrade the rotors to a corss-drilled and/or slotted type rather than changing to a more aggressive pad for street driving.
    * BBK for the tC are useless weight added to the suspension unless you plan on doing heavy road coarse work. Upgraded pads/rotors/tires/suspension/driving skills would serve you better.
    * All Scions/Toyotas run just as good on 87Octane as to 93Octane. The ECM's are tuned for 87. Don't waste your money unless you are putting the motor thru it's paces in 110F heat.
    * Exceptions to the above would be F/I and shoot'n juice. Then, you should run 93Octane as any leanout condition could cause damage.
    * Powdercoat does not hold up to clamping loads.
    * Turbos are not evil and I do not hate them.
    * Navylife59 (that's me) does not know everything and is not the expert final word. Most of what I state is either from the maintenance manuals, from expert opinions, or from my own real-world (non MTV gibberish) experience. I do, however, completely and utterly love my tC!

Feel free to add to this list.

    OK. Now back on Topic.
