ASAP Help with CAI

Hey I bought a 2005 CAI for my 08 which of course i didn't know it won't work so i made the MAF sensor fit which i made an adapter. Everything is sealed tight. I start the car and the car starts and then dies right away. Please help me Does anyone what the cause could b I paid so much money and it's not working. I restarted the ECU and checked everything! PLEASE HELP

That adapter you made probably isn't sealing correctly. Erratic readings from the MAF I'd guess caused the ECU to shut down the engine.

But the adapter has a rubber gasket that i made that is right shut and the MAF sits tight in the adapter which I don't see how it could leak or anything I'll maybe get longer screws for the MAF to be secured even tho the stock screws hold the MAF tight down. You may have your MAF in backwards. Are all your vacuum lines connected? The engine will actually start and run w/o the MAF connected but will run erratic. Check that the CAI pipe is properly seated to the TB.
