Do not buy any "performace chip". What you heard was correct. The Scion ECU has yet to be cracked, therefore there is no "chip" that can be installed. The only thing available right now are a couple of piggyback systems.

Greddy's e-manage is for turbo or supercharger. I'm not sure if you can do anything about N/A. I have never used any kind of piggyback system though. The only thing I can do is point you in the direction of Navylife59. He knows alot on the subject.

Minimal gains would be had with a piggyback on a N/A that is I/H/E. Not worth the outlay of money. Now if you were to add CNC ported head, larger valves, higher revving valvetrain, a set of BC cams, higher compression, larger injectors, and NOS in any order of these, then a piggyback would definitely be worth it. Only with a piggyback in this instance would you gain any appreciable power.
