I dont know much about engine swaps, but Id imagine the least you would have to do is cut into the firewall?
THe measurements have been done and you could fit a 350 V8 into the tC. Money is the only thing stopping you.

well...a rough estamet?
well you would probably need the engine, all the labor in putting that in, (cutting firewal and what not) then you would need a total custom trans because a v6 or v8 would be mounted north south as compared to the stock 2az which is mounted transaxle. 15k at least in my opinion. But for that price you could build a 500whp tC.

True that. I have often dreamt of my Camry's 2GR-FE sitting in my tC. Not the Engine bay right where the seatbacks for the rear seat are. If you really want to get crazy, then why not drop this Toyota engine 1GZ-FE, in there? It's no 5.7L Chevy V8; just a 5.0L V-12.![]()
Seriously, it has been said before. Money is the only thing that prevents any motor to be swapped into the tC. Just look at Monster Garage. More realistically would be an engine swap with the new 2AR-FE or better yet, the 1AR-FE. http://www.club-tc.com/forums/perfor...html#post27490 Based on the 2AZ-FE block, it has so much more to offer. Expect this to be a hot motor that goes for the win right out of the box.

You know, we're getting ideas together for the idea I had a while back. The Club-tC race tC. Who's in?
A turbo, exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it. With a supercharger, air goes in, witchcraft happens and you go faster - Jeremy Clarkson

Well, no offense in any way but...Seeing as how Navy has told me numerous times that he would love to have a stricly race tC, I think that option would go to him. Plus he has been here the longest...
