Header=Check Engine Light

    Default Header=Check Engine Light

    Hey!

    I need some help!. A week ago i installed new headers to my tc, and the check engine light come up. ! How can i get rid of it? , Would the headers damage the engine?.. i was wondering maybe anti-Foulers on the o2 sensor?.. Help is appreciated.

    Check the O2 sensor and make sure that its in all the way, any air that escapes or enters will trigger the CEL. Adding headers shouldn't throw the light unless the headers removed any cats that were there. I know some ebay headers remove the cat and some stop just before it. As long as you don't hear a sound escaping the gaskets/grommets should still be fine. Check your O2 sensor and make sure you still have a cat. And no headers would not damage your engine.

    The mass majority of the headers out there have the primary cat removed.

    What brand of header did you install?
