I wouldn't waste my money on new shocks. The Hotchkis kit only drops 1.7" in the front and 1.9" in the rear. You don't have to replace the shocks unless you drop over 2".

I haven't heard many things about the B&M shifter. I have heard rave reviews about the Doc I's short shifter though. I've also heard mixed reviews on the TWM.

I have heard reports that the Greddy front strut bar does not fit well also.

I like those. Buy me a set. Oh, I'm sorry. Please, buy me a set

For true stealth, you are going to have to nix the idea of an aftermarket axle-back. I would suggest a custom mid pipe with cat delete (or a high-flow metal core) and the barrel muffler in the center of the mid-pipe. The axle back will just be a straight back pipe with a subtle 52~60mm tip. You could even have the stock tip welded to your pipe. To get really stealthy, you could take the OEM muffler and cut and gut it so that only the back portion that can be seen is left. This saves weight and gives the appearance of a stock exhaust. You could tie into the stock muffler exit piping/tip inside the shell of the muffler.

Another tidbit of stealthy goodness is head work. Oversized valves, high RPM upgraded valve train, CNC port-n-polish, gasket matching, and upgraded cams are the standards for increased power that only a seasoned professional could tell the difference by looks or sound. BC has a stroker kit that can net you 2.7L as well as the cams and valvetrain. Increase the compression ratio and throw in bigger injectors and tune with a piggyback and you will have a serious arse kicker that you might as well call "sniper". Jotech and other shops can hook you up with the hightech head work.

Stock wheels are perfect except they a too narrow for wider tires. A few companies out there have the claim that they can widen the wheels. I know that they can do this with multipiece wheels but not sure about 1 piece cast. As for suspension, you can upgrade to performance struts and TRD springs. Just paint them black and no one will be the wiser. The same goes for a beefier rear swaybar.

Last but not least is my secret weapon. Put an Obama for President sticker on your rear glass. Oh, and if I hear one knucklehead mention to put a 350 small block Chevy in it, I am going to puke. Sorry, I am showing my age as that was the di facto standard back in the day to make any car a stealth fighter. Sorry Reds

I've heard really good things about the Direzza's. However, I think I would go this route:
Nitto Tire - High Performance Tires for Car and Truck Enthusiasts

Hey, if you click "Street" at the bottom of page and then click another button (you can't miss it), you can watch a video of Kenny and Jotech on the Nitto website. It's kinda cool.

well internal work was a thought, though i never looked into pricing, any good sites i can check it out on?
and i think i pushed the stealth bit to much lol, while i do want a stock looking body i'm not that concerned with the exhaust and lowering, i meant that i'm just not concerned with flash body kits, and such. cause in ct they like to pull us over for changing the color of our tail light housing, so imagine a tricked out tc..oh and not to mention we do have the 3rd most ticked car in the U.S. lol. but i am interested in internal work, as my options to make this thing go faster without blowing my wallet are almost there. unless i start dropping weight. i think....

Looks like it depends on where you get it. Around $100 (give or take) per tire.

::Edit:: Claimed to be designed to wear evenly on lowered cars with negative camber. So that seems useful since I will be dropping 2" this Saturday.

Dont get a throttle body spacer. They're worthless. Your car wont be much of a sleeper with a crazy loud rainbow exhaust hanging out the back of your car. Its a great exhaust just its not very sleeper-ish. If youre not going to track your car I wouldnt get the hotchkis sways. Just a rear sway such as TRD or Progress (recommended) should be more than enough. good luck with everything.

okay, i guess my vision of a sleeper and the true meaning behind the term are very different. i want to make this thing go fast but because of where i live handle really well. i mean really well while not wasting money, if i can find a track near me i will be going to it on many weekends. but the body i want to leave alone, carbon fiber....maybe cause it doesn't differ to much from my paint anyways. i wish i could go F/I but for right now N/A is where i'm going. so i must say after your suggestions =p, i guess i dont want a sleeper in your terms, in my terms i ment i want a car that doesn't draw a hole lot of attetnion when i drive to work in the morning( the lowering and exhuast wont as ALOT of people do that around here), but the reason i'm doing this is because i LOVE to drive. my TC is my first new car, and has treated me well. but now i want her to go faster and stick to the road, cause i know street racing is very illegal, but sometimes, stomping the pedal and feeling the responce is just an indescribable feeling for me. i'm actually looking to attend a tech school next spring for auto mechanics. so lol after this little run on, i must change my above statement to this. i'm looking to obtain a harmony between power and handling while not breaking my bank(i have 3k to spend). i want to do this out of my shear love for driving. i was so thick headed about this dream that when no one would teach me to drive stick,(lol cause they all know how i drive) i figured it out and taught myself. though i have made some adjustments already to my list based on some suggestions by you guys. i dropped the greddy strut bars and tokico shocks. i'm also just now looking at wheels and rubber. i'm thinking gunmetal 6 spokes. who knows lol.

imho, rims are largely a waste of money. They add appearance more then anything, since (from what I've read) the factory rims are light enough as it is. However, tires would probably be the ultimate upgrade for a stock tC. The factory pottenzas don't have the sticky-icky to carry a 3000 lbs car. If you are looking for handeling, I vote that to be your first upgrade.

As many others have said before me, "It doesn't matter how much power you put in a car if the wheels can't grab the road."

in your guys opinion is it better to have a set of tires for both winter and summer or are there a good set of all-season that you can recommend? that would do well on a track?
also since my connection over here sucks is that AP exhaust a raspy sound or low and deep? with the headers i have on my list, if anyone has that same setup?

First of all go with Doc. I's shot shifter. Keep your stock tires for winter and get some nice tires for summer. I would recommend nittos. Theyre he best bang for the buck tire. If you want to go all out however, you could always do pirelli's. As for the exhaust I used to have it with the WR header and a supercharger. It is loud and a little raspy, but its just so awesome you probably wont care.

and oddly my tc came stock with yokohama tires and the wifes came with toyo. both which the dealership wanted me to pay 280 per tire to replace. i'm thinking bout replacing just my fronts since th rears are good, but i'm looking at a set of summer tires, but i need tc rims or equivs. sadly the dealership near my house(toyota) wants 155$ per rim for stock. i can get aftermarket for just as much and they look better =p. so that's my current tire and wheels situation. slightly frustrating. unless anyone knows where i can get preferably new or atleast in new condition tc rims???

The Nitto Neo-Gens that I linked before are All-Season tires. And they are only $100 a piece.

Search on Scion forum classifieds and ebay for some more factory rims.
