will superchargered pass emissions? i was told do it at your own risk by my dealer (Jafferian delaer)...and for that much money....not having to pass emissions would suck...i kinda have to pass emissions in my town cops suck...i already am worring about the next test coming up becuase my check engine light is onbecuase of DC header..hoping to fix that sooner tho...but i really want to get a supercharger...just afraid it wont pass emissions..my only other option is go turbo im getting if i do that is a dezod kit. i kno more power, but the problem is i dont want to spend that much nor do i want to void the warrenty...i only have 6,000 miles...cant f that up so soon.... but im pretty sure the dezod kit would pass emissions...so please help me in decieding what to do!

Since warranty is a main issue for you, I would go with the supercharger. How are you getting one though? They were discontinued...Anyway, it will in fact pass emissions. If it wouldn't, Scion would never have offered it as an option. A turbo kit should pass with flying colors as long as you're not throwing a code.

If you buy the supercharger and have the ECU reflashed at a dealer, you will have no problems. I have never heard of one not passing.

I am agreeing with Red that the Emissions will not fail because of the s/c, in fact the s/c is a better bet when it comes to warranty because Toyota will cover it if it is installed by dealer...you need to speak with your dealer first. The turbo kits are better in my opinion, there is more room for improvement and they can be a lot cheaper but i am not familiar with anything about its reliability or emissions. BUT I LOVE the sound a sick blow off valve....still my immature pleasures.
