The other thing i found very interesting, is that BMW developed an automatic transmission years ago that was faster then a person when it came to switching gears. Also with CVT (continuously variable transmission) getting improvements as people use them, Manuals might not be able to keep up any more. Even Toyota was hesitant in manufacturing manual cars because they lost money producing them, same with dodge and the new challengers, most companys simply rather not spend the money on them.
