Intake suggestions

This is a discussion on Intake suggestions within the Engine Performance forums, part of the Scion tC category; Which Cold Air Intakes do you guys suggest? And can they be installed on an automatic transmission?...

    Default Intake suggestions

    Which Cold Air Intakes do you guys suggest?

    And can they be installed on an automatic transmission?

    yes they can be installed on an auto, idk about the tC's but most cars are the exact same intake.... as for which intake, the Injen produces the most gain, i just got a TRD intake myself, there all basically the same however

    I have the Injen CAI (the TRD is 2.5" in diameter, the Injen is 3" - and you can pick up the Injen for $266.00 shipped from TRDSparks.com). The plus on the the TRD CAI is the bypass valve so you don't hydrolock. I have heard the TRD/AEM bypass valves being fit onto other CAIs, but it looks like a headache...and besides, if I was worried about it, I could always make it a SRI. Here in PA, I don't expect to go through knee-deep water.

    Manual or Auto doesn't matter, but if you have an '07, the MAFS is different, so the Injen won't fit (yet - they're workin' on one now, though).
