Default How much more HP is does a Cold Air Intake vs. a short ram?

I am definitely getting an Injen intake, but the problem is I don't know whether to get Cold Air Intake or short ram. I know what the difference is between the two. I am been doing research, but still cannot find this information. I wanna know how much hp and torque does a Cold Air Intake gets vs. a short ram intake specifically the Injen intake. Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Unless your baby is strapped up to a Dyno machine 24-7, you are not going to see any perceptible difference between the 2 style of intakes. Even the old trusty Butt Dyno can't even tell. CAI is just an extension of a SRI outside of the heated engine bay for cooler air. At low speeds, a CAI would produce a small amount of more torque (1~3lbstq) as compared to a SRI. A SRI will produce a few ponies higher than a CAI at higher speeds. This is do to the added benefit of increased air flow into the engine bay, thus cooling air temp, and the higher velocity of air in the intake tube that is inherent in a SRI.

One other thing to consider with a CAI setup beyond the extra work to install is that of accessing the filter to remove, clean, and re-install. If you live in dusty conditions, I would think twice about CAI.
