Check engine problem

my tc's check engine came up and me and my dad took the car to his mechanic, the guy told me it was the catalytic but he said it in Spanish and that's all he said.. does anyone know what he was talking about??

You should deal with someone a little more reputable that can communicate more effectively so go to Autozone and get the codes read. They do this for free; simple and easy. Once you know your code(s), we can figure out the problem better. Have you made any changes to the exhaust, wiring, or engine?

Nothing had been changed on my car. Its auto so there is no point you know..but im going to find out at autozone cuz that guy was no help at all.

If you have done no work on the car and you are under the mileage for powertrain warranty, I would take it to the Dealership for warranty repair.
