The Injen SP Series can be converted from Cold-Air to Short Ram.

    Default question

Question for you all. Is there anyway to get around the sensor in the intake tubing. I'd like to just make up a CAI/SRI for mine and the only way I can do that to my knowledge is to buy a piece of tubing with a sensor adaptor on it to make my custom one work. I was just curious, seems like most of you dont mind shellin' out the 300 for an intake, but for a piece of PVC/Aluminium tubing with a filter attached just seems ridiculous for what actual product is there.

Most autoparts store sell a make-your-own CAI, you can opt to go that route. IMO the make-your-own CAI's look tacky, I would buy the real thing. You can also buy some aircraft aluminum 2.5-3.0'' diameter, bend it, weld and buy a filter of your choice. Its really on what look you want and what money your willing to spend.
