come on guys, some one has to know...can i get one for the injen i just bought??? anyone?!
Yea im thinking it would fit. If you're wondering about performance of course the valve will kill performance but don't worry about it since having a CAI isnt a huge boost gain. I would get the valve though since hydrolock is deadly. Now for the fitting size , im not completely sure it fits.
The placement of the CAI is not condusive to everyday hydrolocking. That is, unless you drive through 2 foot puddles. The CAI installs in a void area in front of the left front wheel well. It is very much closed off from direct contact water. Only a deep puddle that youhave to drive more than 2 feet through would cause hydro-lock. A pothole full of water is not going to flood out your engine. I have a short ram and routinely get it soaking wet at the car wash when I wash the engine compartment. The car starts up fine. If you ever get hydro-lock, get your car out of the deep water, wait about 5 mins and crank it over. It might not start right up, but it will start and run fine after a min or two. If this still concerns you then create a new thread with a poll of people with CAI that have actually experienced hydro-lock.

I used to have a 93 civic with a CAI and after driving through rain, the filter would be soked, and that was without a bypass valve, nothing ever happen, as for AEM bypass fitting the injen, simply check the size of both products, or simply buy a AEM CAI, its just as good as injen!!
sittin on 17's
Could call Navy seems like youve been correcting me these past few days. I just like to look at it if itz worst case scenerio cuz there is no guarantee it wont lock on you.
Not to down you Mengsta. Just trying to set the record straight on the CAI setup on the tC. One person's question has turned into a debate that is ripe with misunderstandings. Hydro-lock is a valid problem, just not that prevailent on the tC unless you chug thru some real deep water. A quick splash thru a deep puddle ain't going to do it, nor is driving rain.
