    Hello I just got a custom cold air intake made, and got a ractive air filter with it. my question is does anyone how good the spectre filters are? I know theyre popular wit muscle cars, but compared to the ractive how is it??

    You can use any filter you want, its not going to make that much of a difference. Filters on the market are going to be dry-flow, foam, or oil treated. I like the dri flow ones better, easier to clean and don't require any oiling. Plus over oiling can cause your MAF sensor to get gummed up and not work properly, and throw a CEL. With any filter or Cold-Air Intake, your paying for a name.

    I agree with Cadence, the difference isn't noticeable, unless we're talking about your wallet .

    If you get your MAF sensor gummed up, you can use this MAF Sensor Cleaner from CRC. Would suggest that you use it to clean your MAF every other filter cleaning. You can increase the frequency to every filter clean/change cycle w/o issue but it is really not needed that often.
