Bank1Sensor2 (O2) Relocation to Prevent MIL

Go to the autoparts store and in their Help! section you will find sparkplug anti-fouler part #42002. You will need 2 of them, a 1/2" drill bit, and some exhaust thread anti-seize paste. Take 1 anti-fouler, put it in a vise, and drill it out with the 1/2" drill bit. Take the second anti-fouler add the anti-seize paste to the threads. Now you take the one you just drilled out and screw it into the second (non-drilled) anti-fouler. Using your calibrated elbow, turn a 1/4 past handtight. Remove your Bank1Sensor2 (O2) from the s-pipe and unplug from the car. Carefully coat the threads of the O2 sensor with the paste.
***Do not get any anti-seize on the tip of the sensor as this an damage it and/or make it read incorrectly****
Remove assembly from the vise, coat the second anti-fouler threads with the anti-seize paste, and install into the vehicle. Use the same torque settings, plug up the sensor to the harness, and reset you ECM. In 20-50 miles your ECM should recalibrate the sensors. At that time you will see a DTC code for Bank1Sensor2 or you will not. If the latter is the case, then you are set.

Hey, do you have to do this to the O2 Sensor on the s-pipe too? BTW, if you damanage the O2 Sensor when taking it off stock headers, and you buy one from autozone, it is a universal sensor, so the 42002 and 42009 don't work. Look for part 42006. It is a deeper socket, so you shouldn't have to drill it out, but you only use 1 rather than screwing the drilled one into the standard one. Pics to follow.

This is only to be done to the O2 sensor on the S-Pipe. Do not do this to the one in the header.
