    Post Tach Signal Location

For those in need of the tach signal, here is where you can access it.

    RPM signal circuit
Camshaft position and crankshaft position are detected by the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor. Camshaft position is input as a control signal to TERMINAL G2+ of the engine control module, and engine RPM is input into TERMINAL NE+.

2007~2008 Tach signal is fed to the black wire at pin 9 on the DLC3 connector aka CAN port aka OBDII port.

Note: 2005~2006 tC's do not have pins 6 and 14 populated. That means a CAN only diagnostic port sensor reader, like the MSD Dashhawk, will not work. Check with manufacturer about this compatibility before you purchase the others available on the market, ie Greddy, Blitz, HKS, etc.
