i want to get a tsudo cat back for 05 TC
is it to loud and is it street legal (esp. in NY)??

That depends on your state. In Virginia, no, it wouldn't pass the visual emissions inspection (if you are in an area that does emissions tests. I live in Harrisonburg, which has none). As for being street legal, your biggest obsticle would be decible level. And that is solved with a silencer, or accelerating slowly whenever you see cops lol.

Well, you could either ask people from NY who have encountered the legal/illegal exhaust situation, or read up on your state's road laws. They will have it published whether aftermarket exhaust is illegal, as well as what the legal decible limit is.

Why don't you just go to the DMV website, find the proper levels and compare them to exhaust levels. If not call 311 (if you in nyc) and ask them, they will probably transfer you to someone but your find the emissions regulations eventually.
