    Default Need opinions/advice.

Hey guys I'm getting paid a good sum of cash here in a few weeks and plan to upgrade the exhaust and install a CAI. Here's what I had in mind.

    From Killetc.com:
    1. Injen Intake System For Scion tC 5spd and Auto 2007-2008
    2. Borla Rear Section For tC
    3. Megan Racing Header
    4. Megan Racing S-Pipe

    Tell me what you think?!
I've got about 2 1/2 weeks to think about what I get.

All you need is about 2 1/2 seconds to think about Megan Racing products and just drop it. Don't short sale yourself with this cheap junk that is going to look ugly and eventually fail on you. That is, if it fits right in the first place. This is not a bash but a forlorned warning from the masses. #1 & #2 were decent choices though.

That aside, need more info in order to best help you:
    • What is your overall budget
    • What direction do you wish to take engine performance, suspension upgrade, or looks?
    • What current upgrade/MOD parts do you currently own/have installed?
    • Looking to do the work yourself or thru a local shop?
    • What timeframe are you wanting to project for completion?

Okay to start off, I'll have anywhere between 1500 and 2000 dollars. So I'm not really worried on the Cost. I'm doing a three week project in our restaurant that will payout 2000 max. Depending on my hours.

I want to start off simple with parts. So, I'm just looking at exhaust and Intake.
Later, I'd like to drop the car, and possibly think of a Turbo... Currently a 300zx in the Garage is getting that. So My Scion is just for fun, nothing too serious.

The work will be done by ourselves.

And I have till the beginning of school to do everything. That would be approximately August 13th. I believe.

OH, also. What do I go with if Megan is not adviced???

Other than Megan, if you decide on 4-1 headers, you could go with DME. DME has been a hot seller and we have never received any complaints about their fitment or quality. As for S-pipes, I would recommend Invidia. DME and Invidia have been top notch on quality and fitment.

For about the same money you can get the 4-2-1 WR header with s-pipe included. It would be a much better setup for your car till you go boost on the turbo.
    • NST LW pullies - Full set.
    • WR 4-2-1 Header (comes with s-pipe
    • Redline Water Wetter or Royal Purple Ice
    • Full synthetic oil
    • Power steering cooler
    • Oil cooler
    • Hotchkis or similar drop springs.
    • Tokico performance struts.
    • Hotckis Rear swaybar.
    • Your choice front strutbar.

This should get you off to a good start.

Man, I sure miss my tC It doesn't take much to make a tC shine at anything so give her the TLC.
