There ya go. Generally, a test pipe is a cat delete down-pipe on a turbo system. What your buddy is referring to on the tC is the s-pipe. Although you don't have to replace the OEM s-pipe with a header (except for the WR header that comes with it's own s-pipe), you will free up some backpressure with an aftermarket unit. Stay clear of Megan Racing products. They are cheap, poorly built, over-shore crap.

Another option is to buy a CEL Eliminator from Weapon-R, I have one along w/ an Invidia Down-Pipe, DC Sport 4-1 Header and Tanabe Medallion Concept G Exhaust and NO CEL's!

It's been done by World Racing. The World's First AWD Scion TC - Editorialisms - Modified Magazine

Cadence, you forgot to mention that sweet ceramic coating on your headers. That is now forever a performance mod to your exhaust so you should list it.
