I have been pondering the idea for a few yrs now to upgrade my tC from N/A to F/I, but the cost to do so isn't cheap. I have been talking w/ a good friend of mine w/ a 2005 Scion tC RS1 and he's currently boosted on a stock Auto Transmission. He is in the process of swapping out his transmission to a manual and he told me I should boost mine as well.

I came across this kit from PTuning that I am considering buying at some point in the future: http://www.ptuning.com/ht...Trans%2E&ModelDesc=tC

My friend suggested to me that I get a Trans-Cooler and an Oil-Cooler. In order for me to get a complete tune, I would either have to drive to PTuning in VA which is roughly 6 hrs away from me, or drive to Rochester, NY to Dezod for a tune. I am not looking for anything crazy, just a nice, smooth and reliable turbo that I can have some fun with. I am also considering hiding the inter-cooler behind my lower grille for more of a stealthy look. My friend had mentioned to me to have the inter-cooler sent out and have it anodized and wrapping the turbo in heat wrap.

I don't know all there is to know about F/I, but for those on here that do, if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do, please feel free to speak up. The one thing that does concern me is break downs and stalling.

How much maintenance up keep is needed w/ F/I? Is it completely necessary that I upgrade my Tanabe exhaust to a 3'' exhaust? I know I will need a stand alone or a piggy back unit, what will work best for me? Lastly, its been my understanding that an auto can handle 6-9 psi on stock internals safely, is this correct?

Thank you!

I cracked the clear plastic part at Letter A, where you would see the light flash if you had the turning signal turned on. I also cracked part of B, which ive tried googling and it seems as if this is called the cover? i drew two lines to help show the line where the cover meets the rest of the mirror and a line to show the surface of the cover itself. Im hoping someone can help direct me to where i can find just the cover and the clear plastic cover for a LEFT SIDE (DRIVER SIDE) MIRROR. Any help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated. If an actual photo of MY mirror is required please let me know and i will find a way to get this photo posted for you guys to see.

I forgot to mention that the parts mentioned above, are for an 08 Black Sand Pearl Tc.

P.S- my editing skills are lacking.

Sorry guys, kinda new here yet, so forgive me in advance, im sure somewhere in this forum this question has been asked..sorry search didn't help...i dont know how to navigate this forum yet..but here goes....

This past wednesday I went and replaced all four of my tires and got an alignment done...everything went gravy to my knowledge until I was told that my axle was torn, in which i think they meant my CV boot....they told me it wasn't that bad yet and if i wanted to replace it i could but as he stated "its not making noises" yet...

the next day as i was driving to work, my car started to act funny, first i heard squeaking in the tires as I was making a right turn and as I hit the free way driving at 60 mph the car started to shake ..........the steering wheel shook horribly and even as i slowed down it shook continuously for a good 30 seconds...I didnt think too much of it although i should have

two days later driving the same speed it happened again...only this time i heard a whoosing sound of some sort coming from my left driver side front wheels...sorry not car suave here so is it my cv boot or my axle?

please help!!! :(

Hey guys, I just replaced my burnt out clutch on my 07 tC, had the flywheel resurfaced, and put everything back together. Now, my car won't start. I checked the battery and of course, to make things just that much more easy on me, it was dead. I used another battery (charged) and the engine started to turn over but kinda felt like it couldn't quite get going. I added a little gas and it basically started but died out the second i stopped pushing in the gas pedal. I double checked the vacuum hoses and didn't see any loose ends. I also still have to bleed out the clutch line so i can get more pressure on the pedal, but besides that, I'm stuck..Any thoughts?
