The new supercharger got rid of the cap and used a pulley bolt to keep people more honest. garage1217 on scionlife sells the pulleys.

The bolt is harder to get off. Its like a wheel lock. You have to find something that fits it or take it off the hard way.
You can weld a nut onto it and use that to remove it.

I will look for his link later for garage.

The key hasnt been found yet. Give it some time and I am sure someone will make something.

If you have the right tools, it can come off.

If you get a TRD Supercharger do you have to get your car tuned afterwards?

Unfortunately, the autos are dogs. Their electronic controlled shift points are not condusive to good torque to the wheels. Test drive a stick tC and it is a huge difference.

ZPI makes a tranny overall to really boost the strength and torque transfer of the autos, but it is pricey. A 4-2-1 on an auto is best compared to a 4-1 becuase you really don't have the control over your launch RPM's and torque setting as you do with a stick.

The TRD S/C comes with a reflash module that has the correct TRD maps for your increased air/fuel flow and cylinder pressure. It has to be loaded to the ECM by an authorized Toyota Dealer.

Yes and no. The down-pipe is the main exhaust piping that is connected to the turbine exhaust port of a turbo.
This link will show you what it is.

Sometimes people mistakingly call a s-pipe as a down-pipe on N/A and S/C setups.

There are also a few companies that can reflash the unit for you. but I reccomend the dealer. If you jsut dont want to deal with the dealer, you casn remove the ECU and send it to ZPI or a few other shops and they will load the maps.
