Stay with BPV not a BOV. MAF based cars will not run right (too rich). Read the threads already on this.

Purge Solenoid Valve - It operates the fuel tank purge canister. I have mine disconnected cause it failed. Works fine but drops a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) in the ECM (Electronic Control Module (Scion Manuals call it this instead of ECU)). I believe that the line with the green capped vacuum connection goes to the canister. The other PSV port goes to the TB (Throttle Body).

The vacuum from TB goes to the one pointing towards the firewall. The other goes to the canister which points up towards the hood. That is for the TRD S/C. For N/A just follow the pic. BTW...I messed up, the proper name is PVSV (Purge Vacuum Switching Valve).
