Default looking for info

i have a question about the pricing of the supercharger at trdsparks .. i went to their site.. and its still just under 3g's for the kit.. so where did you come up with 1850. cause i would love to get one for that price. .. and also where can you get an upgraded pulley for the supercharger cause i've been looking and i can't find one.. or any evidence of people selling them openly... just curious cause i can't seem to find one.

A big turbo will get you the power for 1/4 ET's. Careful to not get boost happy. IF your serious about getting the best ETs, a turbo setup to do that will cost a bit more than 5G.
TRD S/C sells for $1850 at TRD sparks. An upgraded pulley will run about $120 to anything up to 14.5PSI. Juice a 50 shot nitrous ontop of that will get you there. Even with bigger injectors and a piggyback, your still can do it below 3K.

For the supercharger. It is only $1850 for the 05-06 supercharger.

NST makes the pulley and can custom size you one for different PSI. Mine was made to 14.5 PSI. As far as pricing goes, the '07 and up identical to the 05-06' with the exception of the TRD ECM maps, Upper air box (different MAF sensor), updated Bosch BPV, a single idler pulley that is pre-installed along with the S/C pulley, and a redesigned compressor housing mounting bracket. Contact Jaime or Ken at TRD Sparks and they will get you squared away.

Note: If TRD really sells this slightly modified unit for the much, then I would buy the 2005 model and source the parts that you need. If you use a SRI and run an adjustable BPV, you cut down on half your problems. You can torque the compressor housing bracket properly and it should last you. The updated one is about $150 (still far cheaper than $2900). As for the TRD maps, you can call your dealership or TRD and get a replacement upgrade module.

You will deffinetly sav money going that route.
Only issue is, it will totally kill the warranty. They have it written into the warranty provisions that you cant mess with all of that stuff

And a warranty is important. My car is going on its third supercharger.

Exclamation Important Warranty Issues

Attention all TRD S/C owners. I have started a knowledgebase concerning issuses on TRD S/C failures. The Vortech S/C unit is rock solid, not the best trim for ultimate performance, but safe and reliable nonetheless. The issues are strictly with the TRD designed torque shaft assembly and compressor/gearbox mounting bracket all which had some redesigns for 2008.

Please only post your issues in the format stated. It is not a discussion topic but a tool to determine if a TSB is warranted for 2005-2007 S/C's.
