but I am running back at the 191 to the wheels. the supercharger has way to many issues. After having three replaced underwarranty, i stopped modding it after the first one. Dont want my warranty denied.

Mine was bearing issues and the dreaded leak. Its not just me, its nationwide. People going through multiple superchargers, bracets, seals, bearings. Its a pile of junk.

starting to have second thoughts Soulbane?
just opened an account for MODS ONLY! gonna subdivide it into different sections - the bulk of it being TURBO!!! I'm bent on getting boosted now!

o yea thats right... come over to the east coast! probably a large part of the smog issues to begin with!
and about that score... lets just say school, 6 cars, and spending based on what we expected to happen... hence the pity fund!

I put up a thread in the Tech Article section on problems that have been experienced with the TRD S/C. The main issue is the complete lack of support from Vortech and TRD themselves. Mine has seen a cracked housing bracket (tranny mount), bad idler pulley bearings, deteriorated impeller/input shaft seal, cracked outer race on the inboard end bearing, and a cracked braclet on one of the impeller thrust bearings. After all this, I am still keeping my TRD. That is why I am putting together staged rebuild/upgrade kits to sell. If my rebuild goes as plan, I might even start modding the V5 cores. Of course, they will be offered in the powdercoat color of your choice!

Hoping to have my TRD S/C mod/rebuildcompleted within 2 weeks. It will be about a month before I can get to Jotech and get the Kenny tune. So till then, I won't have any performance numbers. It will be interesting to see how far the efficiency can be pushed on the V5 f-trim.

I'm getting super paranoid about the S/C failure issues. And I seriously doubt a rebuild or extensive modification will still keep the unit CARB compliant, warranty keeping, and street legal.
So.... might as well get boosted.
