Hey navy,

1st of all nice to see you back around here.
2nd I knew that i was gonna loose some psi with running an FMIC. As for the meth i heard it was a lot more expensive, and had to install. I think im gonna get a FMIC until I am confident my guys can do the water/meth without screwing my engine up. Anyway what all do i need to replace in the engine to run the 14.5psi pulley? rods? pistons? or do i not need to do anything? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to run the 14.5PSI pulley w/o any mods except intercooling, emanagement and a new serpentine belt. Both are a must. The FMIC w/ it's pressure drop would be a little more on the safer side. The h20/meth really is not all that much to install. Go to Snow Performance: Home and you can look at the install instructions. When you get your piggyback tuned, they can spend a little more time to set the spray points correctly. Mine is a little more convoluted as I am intergrating a secondary (backup) reservoir and sending a trigger signal to the Greddy Ultimate to pull timing in case my system does not spray. You can look at their 1D and 2D gasoline kits for boosted MAF apps.

Note: I have only read of one guy running the 14.5PSI pulley. It was at RippMods. He only had it on there for a short while then went to a 12PSI pulley. I am sure there are others out there running the pulley, but nothing posted. You can try a search. If this were a turbo, then I would say time to build the bottom end. Since this is a S/C that build boost slowly and steadily and only hits 14.5PSI at redline, then I would say premium fuel, intercooling, and a good tune will be sufficient. Find out soon, as soon as, I get my MAF problem fixed.

If you have a code scanner that can read data (PIDs), can you see what grams/sec airflow is going across your MAF at idle and at 2500RPM? I have a 2007 manual that states 1~3gm/s @ idle and

Standard:
MAF while engine idling:Between 0.54 gm/s and 4.33 gm/s (shift position:
N; A/C: OFF)
MAF at engine speed of 2,500 rpm:Between 0.58 gm/s and 4.67 gm/s (shift position:N; A/C: OFF)

Alright thanks for everything. A guy in scikotics is getting the turbo toyotas kit, so I want to show him what the S/C is really capable of. An auto nonetheless. Im goin to my local shop tomorrow to see what its gonna cost for a tune and stuff. i think im gonna play it safe and just run the FMIC. It will look bad ass, and is a lot easier IMO. Ill update later.

For maximum performance, and maximum comfort you need to be sporting the widest tires possible for your wheel size, that kind of relationship does NOT occur often in the automotive world. An increase in performance generally correlates directly to a decrease in comfort, but not so with wheels.

Try and see if you can get the same wheel in a 42-45mm offset, I'm almost positive it would clear with 255's, with a hotchkis drop, and without work done to the fenders.

The greater you stray away from the OEM offset, the greater stress you'll be placing on the bearings, which WILL take a toll on longevity down the road.

Just my two cents, and how is it that you're running a rich idle? problems with the e-managE?

I have the Tein H Tech springs(1.9" Front, 1.5" Rear) with a body kit and I wanted to get better wheels/tires. I was gonna get some 17x8 with 245mm, but the guys from Edge Racing said that I would have rubbing issues, even with a 48ET? They said that I shouldn't try going about 235. Any advice?

Update on the intercooler.
Its going to be expensive, but they said they never have seen anyone do a FMIC on s supercharger. So that is where my paychecks will be going for now

I believe the OEM offset is +45. That is what is stamped on the wheels. I am trying to get the hub machined down to a minimum +40MM. If they can safely change it to +42, then I will up the tire to a more respectable 235. Needless to say, I ain't happy at all with this. It took me a year of cautious looking just to be shammed into the wrong wheels. Thanks alot Axis Wheels

I say you should go and complain!

You can't just return them for a different pair?

I mean come on, they're supposed to know what your standard offset is supposed to be.

Default how about both???

turbo or supercharger??? why not both

this is the ATI tC at the NOPI show in NJ this past weekend. the s/c was TRD and the turbo was (i'm guessing) custom. what else would have to be customized/fabricated to make this work?

(btw i would've asked questions there, but no one was there while this car was on display)

i'd def go with the turbo because what u have to put into perspective here is that s/c is gonna give u constant power right away and with a front wheel drive car it tends to get to much power and its gonna be hard to grip the road.... ive seen it go both ways but lot of my friends wish they had done turbo charge bc theyre always complaining of not being able to grip.....

guess i have to look at more turbos to get a better perspective on the size of this one,
but how much hp do you think that pushes? 140-200?

It looks bigger than a GT-35R, or about the same size.

That's a humungous turbocharger.

I'm thinking around 200-250WHP gain, with the turbo, supporting mods and tune alone.
