Default Turbo OR Supercharger????


Im undedided on what to go with..? im trying to get some ideas!!! please help!

What exactly are you looking to do with your car. You have many options to choose from. Some are cheap and easy, some are not. Some are very reliable, and some are not. Please explain you intentions so that we can better ascertain what you require.

You deffinetly want a turbo then. A turbo for 5 grand plus the supporting mods will get you into the 12's.

No one with a supercharger has even hit the 13's.

I will be in the 12's, just you wait. Of course, I actually have to make to a track first

A big turbo will get you the power for 1/4 ET's. Careful to not get boost happy. IF your serious about getting the best ETs, a turbo setup to do that will cost a bit more than 5G.
TRD S/C sells for $1850 at TRD sparks. An upgraded pulley will run about $120 to anything up to 14.5PSI. Juice a 50 shot nitrous ontop of that will get you there. Even with bigger injectors and a piggyback, your still can do it below 3K.

And like Navy is trying. With the right amount of work, time and money its possible. But hasnt been done yet.
The highest anyone has hit, and posted about, is 311WHP. And that took custom cams, and that is EXPENSIVE. Think $800 plus install. Plus the tunning to back it up. $800 (including piggy back), water/meth $400, Full exhuast $500, header $300, S pipe $150, pulley $150, ETD $200 and a set of slicks to do it all. $500. Thats close to $4 grand without install. Plus the supercharger at $1850 without install.

A slap on Dezod Turbo $4000, full exhuast, $500, and drag radials, $300 will get you high 12's all day long.

its expensive to play.

I am trying to hit 300WHP w/ no engine work. I am trying different setups to see what is reliable and cost effective. 15K can get you one hell of a N/A 2AZ-FE. My responsibility to all tC owners is to raise the bar so that most owners can get there w/o a ton of cash. I willl post my progress in the members area if you care to look.

Highest I ever hit was 237WHP.

I am running back to stock right now. I went through a supercharger already. unrelated to making that power tho. it was on its way out before messing with it. Now I dont want to mess with it, because I dont want to worry about warranty issues. The supercharger is just to unreliable for my wallet.

I need to find the one with 237 on it.

But here is one with 209 on it. This was with just charger, bpv, full exhuast. This is before upping the boost to 9.5
