Default Help a new guy =P

Hey guys, I have an '06 manual tC with the TRD exhaust kit, and nothing more! And I want to start modding

I'm looking for some more power, originally I was going to go with I/H/E and just add various things, pulleys, etc... After seeing the S/C was down to about 1900 shipped, I started thinking about saving up. Now, I'm 18 and pretty much living on my own (not too great "at-home" situation lol) but I work alot.

It also seems like you don't really achieve much with just I/H/E set-up and staying N/A. I want to hit / go over 200whp eventually.

I don't know what I'll need for the supercharger, if anything besides the kit. I also don't know cars real well, so I'll probably have to have a dealer install it.

What I'm wondering is if it's worth it to get the S/C first then upgrade I/H/E later. I want real power basically, but I don't have the time/energy/knowledge to turbo. (Or the money, lol).

I have gathered that if you really want to compete, you're going to need to turbo or at least S/C your tC... and I want to compete. =P

I'm looking for it to be a daily driver, but I also encounter alot of Civic Si's, Integra GSR's, Honda Accords, and other various "ricer" cars. Lol. I wanna smoke em or at least beat em. I don't plan to run 1/4 any time soon, just some local street races / highway races.

Thanks for any info!

Welcome aboard. Glad to help. Have you tried reading thru this sticky? These questions are asked alot and should be answered properly here.

I think you already posted in that section so forgive the redundancy. To answer your last paragraph, a TRD S/C at 9PSI will definately smoke the cars on your short list. You just need to get traction. Overkill and larger foes would be a turbo.

yea i would go with the s/c. i believe the stock kit is 7psi but it is really cheap to upgrade to a 9psi or 9.5psi pulley. i belive that the 9psi pulley with i/h/e will put you somewhere around 230whp. i know navylife was running a setup similar to that. he has more mods than that, but he'd be the one to really help you out being that he runs or has run a similar setup.

9PSI pulley and I/H/E will net you about 209-220WHP.

Is it true if you have an aftermarket intake on your car the dealer wont install the S/C?

They can't refuse to install the TRD S/C. What they can and will do is refuse to install the aftermarket intake back onto the car during the S/C.

Alright just so I'm clear.. I can leave my Injen CAI on my car when installed, but they cant guarantee that it will be re-installed.
Thanks guys
