Default Help!! Navylife59 I have S/C problem

Navylife59 I brought my 2007 S/C tc to the dealer today because it was smoking very bad white smoke. Also the S/C would not boost full 7 psi it would only boost 4 to 5 and the engine would sturder and run very weak and rough. To make the matter worst I seen my oil light filker on and off. I think my supercharger is leaking oil to my intake. Do you know of any S/C leaking like that? I have 22k miles on it. Thanks for your help.

Toyota gave me back the car today saying there is no problem. I picked it up drove about a half of mile hit the gas to see if it boost right then my engine shut off. I guessed it now fixed. Now Im waiting to see what they say. Im not too happy. At least it dont smoke now and the oil light is now not coming on so that means my oil level and pressure is ok. But still not FIXED! It shuts off everytime I hit boost. Anyone else had this problem? I think one of my S/C hoses are leaking or came loose.

Sorry for the delay, but I am here for only a short time....

Ok, to answer your question; yes it is possible that oil might migrate thru the impeller shaft seal from the S/C gearbox, but unlikely. It would not cause your oil press to drop that significantly. The oil feed line would just about have to be plumbed directly to your TB. Any squeaking noises? Does the oil look/smell burnt? The ECM should have a few DTC's stored.. Have it scanned.

Where is the oil smoke coming from? If it is the tailpipe then you have either a blown valve seal, blown head gasket, or bad ring(s). You need to have a compression and a leak down check. Be sure that both are done as they are not completely the same and will provide different indicators. With the engine loosing performance it has to be more than just a valve seal or il control piston ring. Is there any loss of radiator fluid or oil in the water or visa versa? Any strong smell of gas in the oil? These would be either a blown head gasket or cracked block/head.

Take it straight back to the Dealer and have them test drive it with you. What ever they do, make sure that it is documented.

it might be a blown gasket bc when the oil leakes out the engins heat will cook it causing smoke to appear but u should try and find out where the leak is comming from

Deffinetly get it checked out again.
Did you have any mods to it? Was the cap still on?

I have been through 3 chargers as I have stated before. Both times I had excess oil in the charge pipe going from the charger to throttle body. But I got it taken care of before engine damage.

Hope it all works out for you

i would call another dealer near your area to see if they could help fix the problem. someone at another dealer may have experience with your problem. it's like when u know you're sick but your doc says nothin's wrong, u go get a second opinion from another doc. if they dont know, find someone who does!

How long ago was your S/C installed? The 2AZ-FE motors are rock solid with only one known issue. This was a small batch of motors with some mis-sized main bearings. The TRD S/C have had numerous problems on the TRD side of it. Interested in how much oil actually leaked past the impeller shaft seal. It would take a bad leak to drop your oil level quickly. If this is the case, it would be a quality control issue with the Vortech S/C and not the TRD parts.

Mine is dry and soon as I can figure out how to get the impeller off the shaft, I will check the shaft seal. So far, my problem has been a cracked end bearing.
