Hi, I am new to boards and I have a question I am familiar with the Tc but not that much I am probably more familiar with the different parts you can buy for one. So I WAS WONDERING IF IT IS POSSIBLY TO PUT A TWIN TURBO IN THE TC?

Yes you could, but why? Turbos have some a long way since the dual turbo setup of the early 90's. They are more efficient, spool quicker, and can be sized to provide minimal lag based on your motor. Also, turbo/boost controllers are high-tec.

Thanks, I figured but wanna be sure. My goal is when I get my car which sadly wnt be till about my 21st B-day in june next year is to pack as much power into the car as I can, and show up all the cheap little street tuners in my town.
You can safely and reliably boost up to 300WHP w/ a good kit and tuning. I am working on a setup to make the TRD S/C make 300WHP that should fair on the less expensive side as compared to a Stage II/III turbo kit. 300WHP has proven to be the right amount of power for the stock motor and still kill just about anyone out there.

there is actually a guy that has 311whp on the other forums, and from the looks of it it looks sickly powerful but looks fairly expensive lol. And as for the twin turbos, i like the twin turbo idea as well but i wonder about fitment issues with a twin turbo in our engines.
That is Karl. He worked with a shop called Ripped Mods to get it there. They started out with 14.5PSI then did some head work and reground cams settling on 12PSI to make that power level. I think he has an I/C but can't remember.

Yes, I believe that it would be. My goal is to find something that is not only affordable, but safe and reliable so that anyone that wants one can have one.

Got to be a built motor though. Jotech built the original turbo'd Nitto tC that dyno'd to 533WHP. They dropped a biggr turbo and got her to 739WHP on a fully built motor running about 40lbs boost.

OMFG !!!can somebody PLEEEEEZ tell me why one would need so much power
*retoricle question - i kno its for drag & or track runz*
Thats really crazy .. You think it would run better if that tC was on a AWD Celica chasi ??

For a dedicated track car FWD, you really don't need AWD. Example, Jotech Racing (aka Kenny Tran Racing) regularly runs the Q-Power Scion tC to low 8's at 170MPH+. It is a full bodied tC with exception of the front clip. It is powered by a stroked and bored Toyota truck block 4cyl making mega boost and power applying power only as FWD. This is, of course, a full-on drag car. You are right about being insane driving the streets with that much power in a FWD only chassis. Wicked torque steer would put you into a curb, rail, or another vehicle on an uneven street. I think 400WHP should be the uppermost limit for a daily driver FWD.
