I have an 06 Auto and I recetly bought a bolt on turbo kit, exhaust, and AME F/IC for tuning. Does anyone know if there are threads already where i can find a good walk through on installing the F/IC? i cannot find a plug--play harness from AEM. i also wanted to ask about turbo timers. i was gona get the Greddy Full Auto Timer. again there is not a plug--play system. any recomendations?

FYI, after talking with Killer-tc.com they told e that Boomslang Fabrication - The Performance Wiring Specialists has a plug-n-play harness for $299.

Default AEM F/IC w/ Turbo Tuning

Ok, so hopefully i won't get crucified for asking this, but... i am getting ready to install my turbo kit and AEM F/IC setup. the local tuning shop wants $800 for dyno tuning. My questions is; does anyone else have this setup, and would there be an opportunity to share your F/IC map settings. i know that every car will be different based on the different kits used, but at least it will give me a starting point so i don't blow anything until i can get it into the tuner.

What PSI are you planning on? Turbo setups really need to be dyno tuned. That is part of their hidden expense. You can street tune it, but you need to have a clear, open stretch of road, excellent set of gauges, and a good understanding of what your doing. If you could get a base map to tune from, you could optimize it for your setup with a little work. Of course, this all depends on what power level you are shooting for. It is best to leave it to the experienced guys.

Is there no other shop in your area? Where do you live? We probably have someone that could suggest a shop. Have you contacted AEM tech support for a base map? Hopefully you won't run into a tech stumbling block like what happened when I called Greddy about my Ultimate. "Uh" and "I don't know" are pretty lame answers from any tech support.

Note: I merged your 2 posts together as they are relevant and we are trying to keep the number of separate threads down.

i live in charlotte, NC. the only shop that welcomes the AEM F/IC with open arms is B.R.E. Motorsports, and they quote all EMS's at $1000. There are a few other shops that say they should be able to, but do not have a lot of experience with AEM products. I have also been offered to rent dyno time for $125/hr and tune myself. again, i'm not the expert. AEM has said that the "base map" is when the system is all zeros and using the stock ECU settings. (Tech Road Block). the AEM fourms claim that self tuning should be relativly straight through if you have the time to understand the software (and balls to just do it).

i'll keep everyone posted on my progress... BTW, are there walkthroughs on turbo installs, AEM F/IC installs, or turbo timers installs??? if not i was going to do one big full system walkthrough.
