cause i know with the new evo, if u put another 100 or so ponys in it, itll destroy the trany
I still stand by what I said. Doesn't matter what anybody else has been able to pull off with their tCs, there will ALWAYS be risk involved in performance modding a car. Now navy is giving you a good example of a tuner who managed to put a bajillion horses onto the stock tranny, but that doesn't mean YOURS can handle it.

You always have to weigh the risk against the benefit. If it seems worth the risk of blowing your tranny (or anything else for that matter) no matter how small the likelihood, then do the mod.

As with all other Staged products, it all depends on their own definition of Stages. There is no industry standard. Most, though, are similar in the clutch market based on clamping forces and friction materials. It also matters what you want to do with your car and what torque output you currently have or expecting to have. For stock, you can move up to a Stage 1 or keep what you got. I would suggest a Stage 2+ or a Stage 3 for F/I setups. If you road coarse, then you want a clutch that can provide more positive engagement even on a stock motor.
