The build sheet that I am working on for when i hit the lottery includes a Dezod stage 1 kit. It comes tuned at 8 psi. There is nothing else you need to buy since Dezod was the first company to design a system sepcifically for the tC. Would you be able to beat a V8 mustang? Simple answer; no.

Thanks for the replies. Yah I was interested in the dezod kit. So I can put the kit on myself and I can drive it out or do I have to get it tuned before I drive it. Thanks again.

From everything that I have heard and read, it's a bolt-on and go turbo kit. The piggyback is supposed to take care of everything.

I would get some. Are you auto or manual? That would determine which guages you should get.

Well, if it is a manual, I would go with boost, egt, and a/f ratio. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I was looking at the Dezod S1 Kit as well. Its definately the best bang for the buck, and specifically designed for the tC so the fitment is top notch from what I've seen. I wanted to go supercharged but with production stopping on the TRD unit at the end of the month I doubt I'll have the funds together in time so turbo it is. As far as I know, the AEM unit inluded is PnP with the tC on the Dezod kits, and will make about 250whp. With the Greddy ultimate and a more precise tune, the kit should be good for up to 270WHP or so, according to Dezod. On a road course, the turbo tC will easily be able to dust off a mustang due to the crude suspension pony cars always use. In a straight line, not so much.

Is there a place on the web where they sell gauge packages. It would be nice just to buy a package of gauges for like 600 to 700 bucks.

I might suggest an oil temp gauge instead of A/F; the computer should keep the AF pretty constant but if there's a problem with circulation of oil in the turbo or along some of the lines the oil temp is going to change fairly rapidly and could end up really hurting the turbo. I'm no expert though its been about two years since I owned a turbo car. At the very least you might want to consider both the AR and oil temps.

Well, if he would like to that route, I believe there is another gauge pod out there that fits on the steering column. I think you can get it in either single or dual pods. He could run the three that I suggested as well as a oil temperature gauge. To make it look really good, you should match all of the colors of the gauges with the color of the radio, tach, and HVAC controls.

I stand corrected. I couldn't find gauge pods for the steering column. If you wanted to go with 5 gauges though, I would look into these:

Scion tC ATI Center Triple Gauge Pod Center ATI-SIXC-EZPOD-05
Scion tC Autometer Dual Pillar Gauge Pod 22685

Those look like Glowshift- Chinese made gauges. Maybe good for looks, but I would not trust the accuracies of the measurements, much like Faze and Autometer's low end models. PLX Devices, Defi, Blitz, Greddy, and HKS make gauges that connect as modules to each other. Some are standalone, while others connect to a control module. Gtech has their new digital tach that has a multigauge readout display.

I was giving a general look at gauges. It is up to the OP to decide which brand to go with.
