I'm not sure how much common knowlege this is already. I did not see any other posts or discussion about it, but TRD announced last week that along with the recudtion of general auto production due to the stagnant economy, they have discontinued certain products, which included the TRD Supercharger.
I am not sure what (if any) other TRD products have been effected by this, but I do know for sure that the SC was ceased on production effective last week. Parts, service and warranty will still be available for pre-existing TRD SC's.
All that remains of the TRD SC is what is currently laying around on the floor of any dealers or distribution warehouses.
I found this out when my friend who works in the parts dept of a Toyota dealer got the memo last week, prior to anything being publicly announced. Maybe this is all something everyone already knows and I am making an idiot of myself by making a post on it.
I wanted to snag a SC up before they were gone and I had no idea how many remained.
My friend at the dealer told me that there were very few that he could see actually on the floor at any dealers around the country, but that distributers could have many more. When I ordered my SC yesterday from TRD Sparks, they told me they only had 3 left (I bought one, so that makes 2 remaining) and that once they sold the last few they had, Sparks were not getting any more in.
Sparks also told me that he estimated only around 30 total TRD SC's remaining available around the US.
Crazy man. I did not see that coming. Anyone who was interested in getting one should try to rustle up the funds and snag one up like I did before it's too late on the TRD SC's.

I wonder if we'll see a spike in after market SC's as a result? Or prices change, or other parts discontinued...
This economy sux!
