Help with turbo install!!

This is a discussion on Help with turbo install!! within the Forced Induction forums, part of the Scion tC category; So ive got a turbonetics t3/t4 turbo kit installed on my 07 tc and this damn thing keeps blowing off ...

    Default Help with turbo install!!

    So ive got a turbonetics t3/t4 turbo kit installed on my 07 tc and this damn thing keeps blowing off the oil line to the turbo... Can anybody help me with this, cuz im on the verge of taking this ar15 with these hollow points and sending 30rounds thru the whole car

    Putting holes in the car would not be such a good idea. I can't really help you out on the oil line though. Maybe someone with a boosted tC will chime in soon.

    hmmm I dont see a reason that i would blow the oil line off. maybe the fitting is bad. get a new line and fitting and try that.

    Not completely... where i live we dont have anyone who can tune it in the area... i have to drive at least 40miles and my 2500 is in the shop and my race truck isnt ready either so this is my only transportation for now so im pretty much f**kd

    sounds to me you may have to retap the oil line ither that or your using the wrong fitting it shouldent blow off like that so try the next size up.

    Where exactly is the line blowing off and when is it doing it? What max boost are you set at? If it is at the oil pan, then check the clamp and make sure it is of good quality. Replace if bad. There should be a oil line pressure reducer going to the turbo housing bearings. Also check your PCV valve. If it is bad, it can let your boost into the crankcase. This inturn can pop off the oil line with just a hose clamp on it/

    Its blowing it off right at the turbo.... a pressure reducer at the turbo?... i dnt think i have one of those on it.. i think its boost 9-9.5 psi...

    It fits inline between the turbo and the oil line. It reduces the oil pressure going to the turbine bearings. It could be as simple as a small orifice or a simple as a spring loaded ball.

    My bad on not getting back soon navylife... but i bought that pressure reducer and it work perfectly.... but the tc is no longer around for me to enjoy... i kinda wrapped her around a pole at about 60 mph..... it hurt like hell but im good.. once i get the insurance **** str8 she will be getting partd out... my heart is now broken...
