Default Custom tune for my 07 sc tc

I have a 2007 tc with the trd sc on it and need to fund a place in NC or SC to get a custom chip installed and dyno tuned. There's no activity in the ecu tuning forum so I posted here seeing as this is related to my supercharger and ecu map. If anyone knows of shops that can do this in north Carolina or south Carolina on a tc and do a good job, I will be very grateful.
    Thanks,

    Alex

A custom chip isn't going to do all that much for you, as myself and others will tell you. The dealer should've reflashed your ECU/ECM w/ the TRD S/C anyhow. The only options you have w/ being F/I is to buy a piggyback/standalone, but its really not necessary. If you want more HP/Torque, you'd be better off w/ a turbo setup and building up the internals of your engine and tranny.

Aftermarket Chips and no matter who sells them or makes them do nothing for the tC. The VVT-i runs plenty fine as its designed to do. Changing its learning curves just creates more issues like running too rich, CEL's or loss in HP/Torque. Spending $400-600 on a chip to only gain 10-15 HP isn't worth the money and your not going to feel it. If our cars weighed less then yes you'd feel the performance gain. Since Honda's weigh about 500lbs less than us, they'll benefit from this, considering the power to weight ratio.

This is true, however I am talking about taking my car to a shop in North Carolina with a piggyback or a chip to get it dyno tuned, not base-mapped. i would install the chip or piggyback and tow it to the shop. Epic Motorsports could do it but they focus on AWD cars, and I want to find a shop that has a reputation for tuning Toyotas since its a toyota engine.

Since you specified having the car tweeked further, then this would make sence. I may have misunderstood what you said and I appologize up front. A dyno tune is your best option w/ a before and after dyno sheet to see the results on where you gained or lost.

The only chip I know of that is on the market is the UniChip. I am not positive, but Hypertech or Jet Performance may do this. I would suggest sending NavyLife who is the moderator on this site an email and ask him, he knows more a lot of great info.

There is no "Chip" on the market if you go by the definition of "chipping" an ECM (ECU). The UniChip is a PNP piggyback module that has the same limitations of all piggybacks. Pretty much regulated to WOT operations. Please read this for further details. http://www.club-tc.com/forums/forced...pp-please.html
