I have a auto and i was minutes away from ordering the Dezod kit for autos but i have heard nothing but "your tranny will be gone in 3 months" all kinds of negatives. Does any body have REAL info and background on this?

The automatic trans in the tC is not a performer by any stretch of the imagination. It was built with 17 year old girls in mind; simple and easy to drive. Some have tried to alter the valve body but have run into many problems and no gain in performance since it is computer controlled. There are people out there with turbo autos. There just have to keep their power levels down to prevent damage.

Well the great thing is, this is my wifes so she just wants a little extra ummmfff me personally i think if i am going to spend the money on a turbo i really want to be knocked into the back of my seat. so i have heard that 5-6 psi would be a safe bet for the auto. And i dont ever see anyone on these forums that have meet and greats club rides. Is anyone from the south MS, LA, AL?

Navylife, are you active duty? i am in the navy as well. i am assuming you are from the east coast by some of the posts. im in MS active duty fresh from deployment from afgan which is why i am doing the performance upgrades now.

I am Stationed at NAS New Orleans. I recently got back from Detachment to Bahrain. I was not too far away from you. I went into Pakistan, said howdy, and left. If you ever see a 'Don't Mess With Texas' sticker, that was me either there or was some cargo that I hauled. I was Active till 2008 when I went back to the Reserves which I pretty much do full time. Are you in Gulfport with the Seabees?

As for the PSI, you should be able to get up to 7PSI on a DD auto with no worries.

There are a couple of clubs here that meet every now and then. Yes, we should meet up sometime. Isn't there a 1/4 mile track near you?

I run zilch as she has never been on a track. I should be running high 13's but with my stock clutch slipping under the pressure and no LSD it would probably be low-mid 14's. The stock clutch (new condition) handles up to about 230WHP or 200ftlbs tq adequately. Beyond that, you are overloading the clutch.

I deploy on a short Detachment May 12-28 then deploy on my family vacation for the summer. We should be rolling down the I-10 sometime towards the end of June. Would have to swing by for a pit stop there in Gulfport.

The slush box does not seem to be able to handle the power. What was done to beef up your trans? It has been an unfortunate reality that there has been no rebuild kit with stronger parts for the masses to resolve the dilemma.

If you guys know how to rebuild automatic transmissions, buddadamn, that's impressive!
Anyone know where I would be able to get replacement synchonizers down the road? My 2nd gear is starting to show the first signs of being weaker than the rest. Might have to replace it at 150k-175k along with a new gear.

You are talking about the synchros in the gear grinder then. Myself, have been looking for a shop that can race prep my spare trans but no luck so far. Looks like it might just be OEM replacement parts.
