There are so many Turbo kits out there for the tC's, but from everyone I have talked to has said that Dezod, Garret, or PTuning.com is the best. Plus its going to depend on what Psi your looking to get. If I were you I would spend the money and upgrade the internals of your engine and tranny to accomodate the turbo and so you don't damage your engine.

could i get just as much power doing that? at about the same price as the turbo kit? i figured an upgraded clutch would hold to the power for awhile till i could afford to beef it up

If your not going to upgrade your engine internals right away, there are turbo kits that offer a lower psi/boost 8-10 that should be fine. If you want more boost, you'll have to upgrade other parts as I mentioned.

I personally haven't heard anything bad about Turbonetics, I know its very expensive. IDK if you follow drag racing, but a lot of the professional import/domestic drag racers use them as well as Garret. The company has been around quite awhile and their a name brand, so I say its well worth the buy.

well after looking at some stuff the Dezod sounds like a great bang for the buck kit. Especially since my cars a daily driver and i will be doing a lot of commuting for school and work.

Dezod is great as well. Make sure you swap out your injectors to bigger ones and w/ F/I, your going to have to step up to a higher octane if you haven't already. I would also upgrade the fuel pump as well. I wanted to ask you what HP range and psi your looking to get.

Yeah the higher altitude is going to have a lot to do w/ your air/fuel ratio and how rich/lean your tC runs. Getting the dyno tune is really going to help dial in everything correctly. I hope that everything goes according to plan and when you get things done, post up some pics.
