Default Noob ?s about Turbo or S/c ?

Alright, have a stock TC with just exhaust and TRD shifter, down the road I want to turbo it probably, but am wondering, for being a smaller guy, if I do either, this is my daily driver, so I'm wondering how hard will it be daily driving a stage 3 clutch ? I want to keep as much Mpg as possible which is why I'm leaning towards turbo so its not constantly spooling, but not totally sure yet?

to Club-tC.com. If your concerned w/ MPG, I would stay N/A. Adding any F/I is going to decrease your MPG slightly. If you like turbo/S/C go for it, but w/ the price of fuel on the rise, I would wait, unless spending more $$ at the gas pump doesn't concern you.

I am so not looking forward to this $5.00 gas hike they're claiming. Since fuel prices have sky rocketed, I let my tank get down no lower than 3/4 and I top it off. I just topped it off tonight at Mobil for $16.00 $3.55/ gallon (89 Octane) and it took 4.495 gallons. I have better things to spend my hard earned money than gas, like paying bills, car insurance, car payment, mods for my tC....etc. Here in upstate NY where I am from, we don't have any meets that I am aware of, I wish we did, I'd be down for hanging out w/ other people w/ Scions and making more friends and what not.

Stage 3 clutches will be noticeably stiffer but not to the point of wearing you out. Take note that Staging is not an industry standard so one company's Stage 3 may be another's Stage 2 or Stage 4 and so forth. Also, there are several different type of clutch facings that can be used which can change the feel of the clutch during engagement. You will need to research the various manufacturer's websites for the product description that seems to suit you best. You can also contact the tech department and let them know what you are looking for.

Wait till the water engine get's perfected and mass produce. Good ole H2O will be through the roof.
