Our very own NavyLife should have knowledge on this matter, since he has the TRD S/C.

There have been a small and varied set of non-TRD parts manufactured for the TRD S/C kit. Most of the parts are upgrade to poorly designed and spec'd TRD parts. You need to have an understanding of what those parts are and why they fail. Follow the link below.

Since the TRD S/C had been discontinued and pulled from the shelves of Toyota Parts Department, OEM (TRD supplied) parts are getting scarce. Some of the aftermarket parts have fizzled out. Some parts are off-the-shelf components available at NAPA auto parts and some industrial supply warehouses (bearings).

Check out my personal thread as I have wrote some of this down there. I have yet to get around to posting all in one area. I will endeavor to get that down soon.

I used to live and breath Scion. I fell in love with the tC from an advertising poster hanging in the window of a small Japanese Dealership near the Naval Air Field in Japan back in the early Fall of 2003. Nowadays, the Family gets most of my attention. Hot Rodder from the old days back when adding a 50 Watt Power EQ hooked up to a pair of Pioneer 6x9s was the cool thing, being a Metal Smith for 5 years, and my Naval Aviation career gives me alot of insight on things. Or maybe, it could be my time as an Electrical Apprentice, IT, Sales, or management that has added to my overall knowledge bank. Sorry Coach Smith but your coaching skills in high school football did not prepare me for squat.
