    Default 2010 TC s/c

    Hi searching around here and trying to find a thread or answers about what parts I need to make the trd s/c bolt up and work on my 2010 tC manual. I have heard different things but nothing from a actual member with a 2010 s/c tC.

    I would ask NavyLife59, he's got a S/C on his tC and knows more about them than myself.

    The only thing that you need is the '07-'10 TRD kit. If you are piecing together a kit from the original '05-'06, you can make it work on your year model rather easily with only a little modding to the intake where the MAF is mounted. The main disparity between the 2 kits versions is the MAF sensor was changed to a newer style in '07. This necessitated a change in the TRD upper air box. Idler pulleys went from 2 down to one.
    Note: I removed the radiator side idler pulley from mine and it greatly reduced my upper RPM belt slip. There is less parasitic friction on the serpentine belt and now I have a spare part.

    Note: Not too sure about the TRD map reflash. It is assumed that with the CAN BUS and newer style sensor that the map tuning might be different between the two kits. Will have to inquire about that one. The '05-'06 does not give a version number but the '07-up instructions gives the following;
    MODEL MODEL YEAR PREVIOUS CALIBRATION ID NEW CALIBRATION ID
    Scion tC 2007 ATM 32111000 3YW20400
    Scion tC 2007 MTM 32110000 3YW20300

    BTW: www.trdsparks.com has the install manuals for both version in downloadable .PDF format.
