NST makes the superior pulley. Not because it gives you an extra .5 psi but because they are known for making high quality pulleys and Mike, the president of NST is on point in terms of customer service. You can AIM him anytime at NSTonAIM

I have the ZPI 9PSI pulley and have no complaints. Kenny (ZPI) had me source my 14.5PSI pulley from NST. Either one will work fine. It boils down to price and delivery.

14.5 is where I will be at by the 2nd week in April. 550cc Deatsch injectors and Snow Performance Stage II meth/h2o injection are on their way. Now, all I need is another dyno run at Jotech and I am set.

Yes and I have no fear of my stock block. The linear power curve of S/C is more predictable and manageable than a turbo, therefore, less stress on a motor. No need to start another great thread debate between S/C or turbos. They both have their pro and cons. It is just a statement of how reliable a S/C can be.

    Default TRD Supercharger Upgrades tips

At first I Started to make my car turbo but with the sponsorchip here in PR by a TOYOTA dealer my Supercharger came for free and I said what the hell! I just Put the FMIC with a intercooler, 650 siemens fuel injectors, NST 12 lbs pulley loosing 2 lbs with the intercooler and some JE 11.0:1 high compression pistons with 550 HP Carrillo forged rods, without the RIPP Custom Cams and without my 75 NOS shot and I came with 358 HP at the Dyno so Ill let you know guys later if a Turbo tC or a Supercharged tC is the right choice.

11.0:1 compression with 12-10 psi of boost??? WTF, sounds like u want to blow something up, youd be best goin with low compression pistons for boost, leave the high compression for N/A or Nos, at least thats what ive learned

Well believed or not try it here in PR we do what others dosen't dare. my cylinders compresion are 230 PSI Aprox. with these pistons and with the Presurization I am loosing 2 lbs of this pulley gaining hight power at low rpms.
this whay with the camcon I set te VVT-I higer at low rpm's for a horse power curve similar to turbo charged applications. soon You will be hearing from my car with the upgrades I am working over this setup.

You can run a high compression engine with moderate boost. You have to enrich your octane to a higher level to prevent detonation without pulling back too much timing. If timing is retarded to a point, you actually begin to impact the engine's overall power output. I am planning on my engine build to be 10.5:1 running 10-15PSI.

well good luck, but you would still gain a lot of power with lower compression pistons dude, its been proven time and time again, but if thats wat u want, then power to u ma man!

Thats right thats why I am using a pint of VP for each full tank and a flammer kit to clean the exhaust piping. I am planning to go for the 14.5 lbs pulley that Mike from MST is going to send me on this weeks, Plus the RIPP custom Cams. With the intercooler is going to be like 12 lbs and maybe a shut of 75 with nos I hope to pass the 400 HP. wish me luck!!

Lower compression will allow you to increase your boost without having to retard timing too much and to allow you to use pump gas. This is great for a turbo but not always good for S/C. It is much easier to increase boost on a turbo. The TRD can be boosted to 14.5PSI by pulley and a compressor efficiency of a max 20PSI.

Eh . . i'm soooooooooo noob here that I have no idea what you guys are talking about . . He he. Seriously, I like . . need to take a class or something about all this stuff. Where do I go? How do I learn?

I wanna build my tC to about 200 HP. What's the best way there without having any S/C and Turbo? I can't afford those yet . . that's why. When I can, yeah . . i'll be making these folks who talks crap about my spec packaged tC.
