Default pricing question for people who work at Scion/toyo

    does CASH money talk?

    im going to get a
    tC '07
    black sand pearl
    Ground effects
    pedestal spoiler
2 in 1 cargo carpet mats

    comes to ,438

if i walk in with cash money would they let it go for $17,875 (MSRP+handling fees) and "throw in" the add ons?

i know pure pricing means they wont work on the price but i have a friend who buys a new car every 6-8 months and works at teh dealership im going to be buying from, but he works in service for Nissan, not Toyo or Scion, he said show the cash and ask for free add ons... sound like it would happen? or should i just prep to pay the full price?

If you can work them to that, youve just preformed a miracle, because thats under invoice. Scion does the "pure pricing" because there is so little profit built into them. All the profit comes from the add ons. I can pretty much guarantee you that no scion dealer will take 17 grand for a 19 grand Scion, and throw some accessories in as well. Alot of cars (for ex. chevys) have about 3 grand or more between the invoice and MSRP for the dealer to make there money. Thats how your friend pulls off what he does.

Like i said, if you can get them to do that deal on a brand new tC, good on you. As for the accessories along with that price, ill be honestly shocked if they go along with that.

take off ALL of the extras you are wanting to put on there....they are way overrpriced. get them online and have them shipped...will save you a TON especially the stupid floor mats.

p.s. dealerships (from what i know) are no longer really all about cash money...they would rather have you finance it than come in paying cash...

Imagine... that is the price i want to pay with the addons. i dont want to pay that price + get free add ons... its $1500 off the car....

Scion Jon... i havent been able to find the exact spoiler anywhere (link please) as for body kits got a good site for some simple tasteful ones?

as for cash being bad ive heard that before also. is there any kind of "cash off if you finance with this company" if so ill get it, and pay it off the next month just to bring the price down on it.

and im already buying all my accessories else where but the body kit/spoiler/ mats i figured it would just be easier to have it on there when i got it. the i get the car (hopefully one day next week) i will leave the dealership and go strait to the tint shop (5% all around and 20% on the windshield) then when i get home i will be ordering so 18x8 rims from discountwheelwarehouse.com

    then on ebay ive found

    black tail lights
    black projector head lights
    fog lights
    second set of fog lights
    third brake light cover
    mirror turn signal covers
    short antenna

then i will also be ordering
    2 12" L7s
    zx1500.1
    avic D3

and i gotta decide on front speakers (not going to use rear speakers) and an amp.

i got accessory's covered, i just didnt want to deal with finding a body shop to paint and install the wing and body kit and worrying about colors matching and what not.

pure pricing is pure pricing..... any dealership that sways remotely away from that can lose their license.

as far as accessories.. they'll try to sell you as much as they can because that's where the salesmen earn their money... i've heard of some dealerships throwing int he floormats.. but not much else unless you end up getting crappy service and the manager tries to make it up to you...

otherwise.... as far is purchasing the vehicle.... i wouldn't buy any accessories with the car... buy them afterwards.
    LEDs.... yay!

Yep. Just as the above posts state....the Dealer cannot change any pricing on Scion's or Scion Corporate will drop the axe on them so fast. I know, I went with my GF to several Dealerships. She was buying a 2007 Camry SE (sports package) and a 2007 Tundra Crew Max TSS 5.7L v-8. I was buying my Son a 2007 RS 3.0 tC. Not a single one would budge on the tC, except for the last guy. The 3.0 does not come w/ a spoiler and my Son wanted one. It was $400 to install and they took that off the Truck price above and beyond what we already haggled them on it. We even paid cash for all 3. Cash does not talk like it used to.
    How Fast Was I Going?
