According the the owner's manual there is no set break-in procedure. Just ride easy early on and try not to keep your speed at a constant speed.

I have heard that for the first 500 miles or so DO NOT: keep constant speed, push RPMs real high, and slam on brakes. Most of all just use common sense.

There are several different opinions on the correct way to break in an engine, ranging from conservative to aggressive. Almost all of those procedures share similar techniques. Never keep a constant rpm. Do a quick redline of the rpm's every once in a while. Do an oil change at 500 miles to get rid of engine shavings. With the current manufacturing and assembling practices of engines, no matter how you break in the car, there is slim to no chance that you'll damage the engine.

Most people just take it easy for the first 500 miles but either way with modern technology engines are able to with stand a beating
