my sunroof

totally broke on the freeway. glass shattered everywhere. it was nuts. then scion replaced it and repainted the back hatch.

I have heard of this with t-tops and targa panels... but never sunroofs...

i was goin like 75. glass just shattered into little pieces. it scratched up the hatch and lip. i was lookin at the road at the time and nothing flew up and hit it. it just shattered. glass went in my friends nachos

wow well Im going to be more careful I drive fast with the sunroof open all the time here in Florida. Did any of it hit you?

What the heck is your friend doing eating in your car? Did you have your sunroof tinted?

never had my sunroof tinted. besides the factory tint.

mine also did this ... does anybody know of a carbon fiber windeflector for the TC or any aftermarket for the sunroof?? they did not replace mine and it happened like 8 days after i bought it... they told me it would cost 700.00 to fix it and i wanna find something that would prevent this from happening again...

id say sue for a new sunroof. if nothing hit it then it shouldnt have broke anyways

They HAVE to fix it under warranty if inside of the 3year /36K time frame. There are TSB's and documented proof that there are some problems. You can go to another dealership for the warranty repair.

wow i just got my tc a few days ago and i drive with my sun roof open on the freeway goin 70-80 and i was wondering is it bad if you tint your sun roof? because i just read someone post in here about asking questions if they tinted their sun roof.

my sunroof was closed. and the 07-08s have a film to prevent the shattering. it'd probably be fine to tint it more though.

well i think itll prevent the shards of glass from flying in your car better. plus the factory tint on the sunroof sucks
