Always have it checked out by an independent, certified mechanic.

A salvage title can mean many different things.... accident, stolen, flood, title problems, etc etc.

Anytime you buy a car with a salvage title, you take a little bit of a risk. You will get the car for less then a car with a clean title but if you go to sell, you will get less for it. Some cars are simply patched up to save money and will be nothing but a headache down the road.... others are in good shape and may indeed be a good deal.

I don't think that you can get any type of warranty if the car has a salvage title.

If nothing else.... STAY AWAY FROM FLOOD CARS!
