Sunroof wont open

i just got an 05 tc a few days ago and the sunroof wont open it just keeps making a clicking noise has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? i took it back to the dealership and they wanted to charge me $1500 to fix it.

Sounds like you make a have an obstruction or stripped gearing. From inside of the car, check all around for obstructions, especially the tracks. From the outside, I believe that you can lift up the forward windscreen panel and use a flashlight to look for obstructions there. Also look for bent linkages in ither area. Don't force it open as it is better for it to be stucked close, then open. Tell us what you find out.

BTW, check on the warranty. These are transferable to new owners. If Scion warranty is still valid, then the dealership has to do warranty work (no cost to you) on your ride.

I bought .pdf files from some guy on EBAY. They are the 2007 service manuals.
